“Home of the Iron Gate”
Cox Creek Mill is our dream and we would love to share it with you and your family. The story began one day while canoeing on Salt Creek. As we slipped silently through the rippling water Stephanie looked at me and said “Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could live on this beautiful creek?” A few months later we owned 18 acres along Salt Creek.
The revelation came when Stephanie glanced at a painting on our wall of an old grist mill. The idea was born and construction on Cox Creek Mill was started…there was no turning back. The two-story mill was sided with board and batten poplar. Hickory, walnut, and cherry are throughout the structure. The metal wheel is 14 feet in diameter with 64 buckets weighing over 3000 lbs.
We invite you to come listen to the water and relax by the mill. You are also invited to stroll through the studio to pick out a unique piece of handcrafted metal art. Our family looks forward to seeing you soon.
