SCORE
Want help planning and setting up a small business? The Service Core for Retired Executives (SCORE) program connects entrepreneurs with mentors to help them build their businesses with free business advice. In Brown County, this service is part of the school system’s Brown County Career Resource Center on East Main Street.
For more than 50 years, SCORE has served as America’s premier source of free, confidential business education and mentoring. Most of the mentors are experienced business owners and managers. They understand the challenges of being a small business owner just getting started, because they’ve faced those same challenges. SCORE mentors can be both coaches and cheerleaders to help people start or grow their business.
Visits are the first Thursday of every month. While an appointment is required, there is no charge. Spots are limited, so call early to reserve your spot at 812-988-5880.
